Welcome to Moran & Bewleys Dublin Festival Season update. Lots to do and see around Dublin, especially in the scary months of October/November. See below for some of Dublin’s scarily special events:

Bram Stoker Festival

Date: 25th – 27th October

Venue: Dublin

Price: Free

Dublin city celebrates the life, work and legacy of Irish horror novelist Bram Stoker and his iconic novel ‘Dracula’.

This three day festival lets you peel back the layers of the city to experience Bram Stoker’s Dublin. A weekend for all the family, enjoy guided tours through the lane-ways and hidden steps of the city, stoker- themed theatre, discussions and  literary workshops specialising on horror writing with award winning authors. A highlight of the festival will be an eerie drama from the acclaimed street theatre group Spraoi on the grounds of Dublin Castle.

Halloween Haunted History Tour

Date: 20th October – 1st November

Venue: Hidden Dublin Walks Ltd

Time: 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

The Emerald Isle is known as being one of the most haunted countries on the planet with many of the world’s most famous supernatural characters and stories finding their roots in the tales told across the centuries by our ancestors on dark, dark nights. This unique tour covers the more ghastly and gruesome aspects of Dublin’s history as well as tales of the supernatural which have frightened Dubliners for centuries

The Northside Ghost Walk

An eerie evening involving walks through the oldest areas of Dublin, visiting the site of two of the most haunted houses in Dublin which once was the home of up to six ghosts, haunted hospitals, the site of a 21st century apparition of the Virgin Mary and walks through deconsecrated graveyards…not for the faint hearted.

Halloween Hellfire Excursion

Board the private Hellfire Express towards the infamous Hellfire Club in the Dublin Mountains. The Hellfire Club is famous for association with Satanism, the supernatural and the occult. Once at your destination (which is miles from civilisation) a storyteller will recount the history of the place including the exhumation of the demonic statue and dwarf skeleton, to the evil rituals and events that took place there such as human and animal sacrifices and black masses. To calm your nerves your night is concluded with special drink promotions at the Brazen Head.

The Gravedigger Ghost Tour

Sit back and listen to tales of a plague ridden Dublin.

This 4D bus tour costing €25 per person is the only bus which can transport you back to 600 hundred years ago to when the old Augustinian Priory and the plague house were a prominent part of Dublin society. Once you have arrived witness the victims tales of misery, suffering and hope for survival.
